APA, a corporate chartered in DC, has a mission to promote the application of psychological science and knowledge to benefit society and improve lives and has lots of information available on the website. As a part-time UX designer, my goal was minimizing the page scroll by reorganizing web contents, providing a better usability.

Design Challenge

APA has lots of unorganized contents that requires endless scrolls. Many webpages have a load of information being added but they don't have a system to organize these contents. One of the projects I worked on involved a page with all APA members just listed out without much formatting.

Solution

To help minimize the page scroll and make it easier to locate the member, I designed a table with pagination that can dynamically interact based on user's needs.

User Research

Based on the communication with the staff member at APA and separate user research, I was able to prioritize the business requirements and core functionalities that are needed to efficiently browse the member page

Wireframe

Using the functionalities noted, I created a wireframe that serves the business purpose.

Prototype

High-fidelity prototype page is then designed for client's review.

Final Look

Upon review and extra brainstorming with research, the final product is created after a few iterations.
